“As Director of the Defence and Military Strategy programme, I am particularly interested in the return of conventional conflict to the forefront of statecraft and policy. As contemporary developments continue to dictate alliance structures and diplomacy, I look forward to connecting operational and tactical developments to broader strategic questions. I want the programme to examine pertinent topics, such as how an asymmetry in European and US military capabilities dictates Euro-Atlantic deterrence and shapes NATO, alongside evolving developments in military strategy, including the impact of new technologies. This Programme will contribute policy-relevant research in a period when such analysis is more desirable than ever, offering astute and accessible insights into complex and technical defence-related matters.“
